Shailendra Jha, DGM - Telecom, age 36 yrs, started his association with Intex looking after sales in Tamil Nadu. He took over as Regional Manager in January'03. Before moving to Product Management functions at Head Office in early 2005, he was responsible for controlling the branches at Chennai, Secunderabad, Bangalore and Cochin.
Shailendra is post-graduate in marketing with graduation in electronics and telecommunications. He has a total experience of more than 10 years. At present, he is looking after sales & distribution functions of Intex's telecom vertical - GSM & CDMA mobile phones.
Ms. Nidhi Markanday
(DGM - Retail Business)
Nidhi Markanday, DGM - Retail, age 32 yrs, is one member of the Intex team who has an interface with the whole organization owing to her earlier role as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. From 2002 to 2005, she successfully contributed in Sales & Administration operations which involved providing full support to the branches for order processing, pricing, sales & collections monitoring, stock control, overdue control, etc.
As her additional responsibility in marketing functions, she was also involved in advertising, media relations, product & sales promotion and publicity. Nidhi took charge of company's newly established business vertical-Retail operations in 2007 and has been to position Intex products at more than 130 hypermarkets and specialty stores across India. Under her supervision, the company has also set up its first exclusive retail chain-Intex Square. Growing aggressively, the chain has 30 stores in the country. These days, she is also at the helm of affairs of the stores & logistics division. Nidhi has done a course in Secretarial Practice after her graduation.
